La Chiroso is from Valle del río Penderisco, a small but exceptionally fertile growing region in Colombia. The Chiroso bean is a rare offshoot varietal only sparsely found in this region. Each cherry in the lot was hand-selected by the farmers to produce just a few bags of green coffee. In the cup, La Chiroso is a melody of citrus and stone fruit, with chocolate and caramel notes throughout. While it has its own label, La Chiroso is now included in our Cultivar Reserve collection of exception rare and exotic coffees.
